VISION
Calbiga is a livable, productive and resilient community, sustained by an ecologically balanced, protected and safe environment, a center of trade and commerce, a famed ecotourism destination, with appropriate infrastructures maintained by an empowered and resourced local government and citizenry.
MISSION
The Municipal Government is committed to create the atmosphere conductive to the promotion and development of Calbiga as a center of trade and commerce in Western Samar and as an attractive ecotourism destination in Region VIII. This sustainable progress shall be made possible by an empowered Local Government Unit and its residents who believe that development is a right as much as it is a responsibility, able to discern where they are now, where to go, how they want to get there, and are able to participate actively in the task of socio-political, cultural and economic transformation of Calbiga.

CULTURE AND
LIFESTYLE
The largest cave system in the Philippines, reputed to be the second largest in Asia and the world's third largest karst formation. It is 7 kilometers from the poblacion center and 3 kilometers from Barangay Panayuran.

Calbiga
IS A FOURTH CLASS
MUNICIPALITY
About 48 kilometers south of Catbalogan, the provincial capital, and 59 kilometers northeast of Tacloban City in Leyte. The poblacion, or town center, lies along the Philippine-Japan Friendship Highway (Maharlika Highway) that links Samar and Leyte to the islands of Luzon and Mindanao.
